Mission Statement

In Alameda County EMS, we are committed to prioritizing the mental health and well-being of our workforce. We recognize the heightened risks associated with working in EMS including, mental health challenges, excess stress, trauma, substance abuse, and suicide, and we are dedicated to addressing these concerns through proactive support and resources.

The Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Peer Support Team is an essential resource designed to assist our team members during times of crisis. Our mission is to provide education, care, and peer-driven support to help mitigate the impact of critical incidents and promote long-term mental health resilience. Through this initiative, we aim to protect and support the ALCO EMS family, fostering a culture of awareness, compassion, and mutual care.
